1. Check-in/Check-out times
Check-out time for most hostels in Paris is 12 noon. Check-in time for most hostels is between 2 pm and 4 pm. Please note that nearly every hostel in Paris offers Free Luggage storage before or after you check-in or out.
2. Curfews
Some hostels in Paris still have a curfew in place, normally 12 midnight. But more and more Paris hostels are getting rid of this outdated policy.
3. Cleaning
Some hostels close from 12 noon to 4 pm for cleaning.
4. Free breakfast
Only some hostels in Paris include breakfast in the price. If it is included in the price this saves you on the cost of breakfast. However, most hostels offer breakfast normally for a reasonable price.
5. Free wifi
We all need Wifi when we travel. Every hostel will have wifi but some won't have it in the rooms, they just have it in common areas. My advice is to read some reviews on the speed of the Wifi. Also, there's nothing worse than a slow connection.
6. Guest Kitchen
If the hostel you are staying at has a fully equipped kitchen, you can save money by cooking your own meals. Some hostels in Paris only have partially equipped kitchens and some have no guest kitchen.
7. Age Restrictions
With most hostels in Paris, you have to be between 18 and 39 years old to stay in a dorm room, but with some youth hostels, you have to be under 35 to stay in a dorm. However, if you are want to stay in a private room, there are normally no age restrictions.
8. Costs
Paris Hostels has some of the most expensive prices in Europe, but you can still find some good cheap hostels. In bed in a dorm room starts at €18 per night (normally in large dorm rooms). Please note that some hostels in Paris don't include the city tax (€1.90 per night) in the price. As with all other major cities in Europe prices at the weekend tend to be 20% to 40% higher. Prices will also at more expensive around holiday periods.

Trendy Hostel is the cheapest hostel in Paris. It's cosy hostel from where you will have easy access to the all of Paris's main tourist attractions as a metro stop (Pierre et Marie Curie) is only a one minute walk away.
You will be safe in the rooms, as they have keycard access only. All beds have night-lamps and an individual power socket. Other amenities include Free Wifi, 24 Hour Reception, Laundry Facilities and Vending machines for your convenience.
Trendy Hostel offers 6, 10, 14 and 18-bed (cheapest option) dorm rooms as well as a large selection of private rooms.

2. Le Montclair
Le Montclair is yet another hostel located in the Montmartre district, making it a fabulous location. Montclair Hostel is within walking distance of the Clignancourt Flea Market, Art-Naïf museum and the Moulin Rouge.
They have Free Wifi, and luggage storage as well as a fully equipped kitchen for guests to use.
Le Montclair offers 4 & 6 mixed dorms and 4-bed female only dorms making the Montclair an ideal place for solo female travellers to stay.

3. Le Regent
Le Regent Hostel is located in the famous Montmartre district of Paris which is just a 5-minute walk to the Moulin Rouge and Pigalle. It is situated close from two Metro stations making it easy to get around Paris.

St Christopher's Inn is an award-winning hostel located on Paris Bassin de la Villette, only 350 m from Crimé Metro Station. It features a terrace overlooking the famous Canal Saint Martin, free Wifi throughout and a communal lounge with a computer.
St Christopher's offers both dormitories and private rooms. All of the dormitories have shared bathrooms with showers and toilet. Rooms also include heating, a locker and padlocks can be bought at the reception desk.

Wi-Fi is in all rooms and the front desk is opened the 24-hours (which is uncommon as a lot of Paris hostels have curfews). It is located very close to Gare de Lyon.
Auberge Internationale des Jeunes has 69 tastefully furnished bedrooms and many even provide such comforts as an additional bathroom, additional toilet, linens and towels.

6. Vintage Hostel Gare du Nord
Vintage Hostel Gare du Nord is located in the 9th district of Paris. This air-conditioned hostel is located just 500 m from Gare du Nord Train Station and only 15-minute walk from the Moulin Rouge. Vintage Hostel Gare du Nord has a 24-hour reception and offers free WiFi throughout.
