Cheapest Hostels in Prague
This is a list of the Cheapest Hostels in Prague.
Prague is still one of the cheapest major cities (if not the cheapest) in Western/Central Europe. You can easily get by on €40 per day during your trip to Prague and you could budget this even lower. If you want to save on the accommodation, then take a look at our amazing list of the cheapest hostels in Prague. Hostel prices in Prague start at only €4 per night.
All of the hostels on this list offer either a mixed, male or female dorm rooms. These are always the cheapest option. And of course, you’ll get the chance to meet fellow travellers and pick up tips on what to see and do. Hostels often offer other ways to save money, such as communal kitchen facilities where you can cook your own meals and some hostels also offer very cheap meal options. All the hostels listed below have WiFi included and all hostels have good reviews on Hostelworld.
General Info on Prague Hostels
1. Check out time
Check out time for most hostels in Prague is 11 am, but at some hostels, the check out time is 10 am. Some hostels offer a late check but for an extra fee. You will have to consult with them on this while you are there though. Please note that nearly every hostel in Prague offers Free Luggage storage before or after you check-in or out. But it's also worth double checking on it if you require this service.
2. Free breakfast
Only some hostels in Prague include breakfast in the price. If it is included in the price this saves you on the cost of breakfast.
3. Free WiFi
We all need WiFi while we travel. Every hostel will have WiFi but some won't have it in the rooms, they just have it in common areas. My advice is to read some reviews on the speed of the Wifi. There's nothing worse than a slow connection.
If the hostel you are staying at has a fully equipped kitchen, you can save money by cooking your own meals. Some hostels in Prague have no kitchens, others have partially equipped kitchens and some hostels have large fully equipped kitchens with a dining area.
5. Age Restrictions
With most hostels in Prague, you have to be between 18 and 39 years old to stay in a dorm room, but with some youth hostel, you have to be under 35 to stay in a dorm. If you want to stay in a private room in a hostel, there are normally no age restrictions.
Prague Hostels have some of the cheapest prices for a major city in Western/Central Europe. In bed in a dorm room starts at only €4 per night (normally in large dorm rooms). As with all other major cities in Europe prices at the weekend or at holiday periods tend to be 20% to 40% higher.
